Mental Health Carers NSW Wear it Purple Day Community Event

  • The Dale Studio 27-39 Abercrombie Street Chippendale, New South Wales, 2008 Australia (map)

Mental Health Carers NSW proudly hosts a Wear It Purple Day community event celebrating diversity, inclusion, and the voices of LGBTQIA+ young people, families, and carers. Bringing together lived experience speakers, carers, mental health professionals, and community members, the event explores what meaningful, affirming support looks like, fostering understanding, challenging stigma, and strengthening community connections. Keynote speakers Luke Randall, a young carer and lived experience advocate, and Giancarlo De Vera from BEING Mental Health Consumers, will share insights on identity, visibility, and inclusive spaces. The event also features an interactive activity, audience participation, and community resource sharing.
