About Corey

Corey is a proud koori brother boy of Gunai Kurnai and Wurundjeri heritage living on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land in Canberra.

Corey's advocacy journey began shortly after initiating his affirmation journey in 2017, experiencing the gaps in access to essential health care services, adequate policy and protections for Transgender and Gender non-conforming people and a significant lack of visibility and understanding in the general population. Most notably, the lack of support for First Nations trans and gender diverse folks looking to affirm their gender.

In his day job, Corey is a Senior Solution Architect at Microsoft. He is also a committee member of the Employee Pride Network, GLEAM. Corey's hobbies and interests are spending time with his family, camping, swimming, hiking, reality TV, and tattoos. Corey is a big tech nerd and dedicates time volunteering to educate LGBTIQ+ youth about staying safe online, how to code, and understanding AI.

Hobbies/Interests

Camping, swimming, surfing, hiking, weight lifting, car restoration, TGD advocacy, Indigenous Advocacy, Animal Justice, cooking, queer events, music and travel.
