The Wear It Purple Day 2025 Theme and Artwork
Wear It Purple Day 2025, meet the artist!
The theme for 2025 is 'Bold Voices, Bright Futures', empowering LGBTQIA+ youth to dream big and share their bold voices and bright futures with Australia.
Each year the Wear It Purple’s Youth Action Council (YAC) hosts a design competition to create a campaign message and artwork in celebration of LGBTQIA+ people openly and visibly achieving their dreams in sport, art, science and more.
The winner of the 2025 competition is Lee Evatt (He/They), a transgender and queer artist based on Ngunnawal Country. Lee works across multiple mediums such as comics, animation, print making, photography, film and live performance.

"For this design I took inspiration from queer communities that I have participated in as a photographer and more recently as a performer. Performers and activists were the first thing that came to mind," Lee Evatt, 2025 Wear It Purple Theme Artist.
"I wanted to represent different people of different generations to display a positive outlook towards LGBTIQ+ futures."
