Rebekah Robertson founded Transcend, Australia’s first parent led peer support network for the families of transgender children in 2012. She has been a champion for the rights of transgender and gender diverse children and was a leader in the fight for law reform around access to medical treatment for transgender adolescents in Australia. Rebekah is the proud mother of Georgie Stone whose case re:Jamie began the long journey to remove discrimination from medical access for trans teens. Rebekah remains committed to justice and equality for trans young people and LGBTIQ+ young people. She feels young people have a vital role in shaping our present and our future and everything should be done to help unleash their magnificent potential on the world. Rebekah is very proud to be a Wear It Purple Patron.
